Falls: |
| Ruby
Falls is one of Chattanooga's prime tourist
attractions and a very important destination.
In a cave, well underground, this 145
foot waterfall is the king of underground
waterfalls. It is located within Lookout
Mountain just south of Chattanooga. The
caves can be reached by a driving from
Nashville or Knoxville as well and make
a great day trip for the family.
This Ruby Falls waterfall fervently pumps
300 gallons of water per minute into a
crystal clear pool making it a breathtaking
sight. There is a mile long walk to be
taken to and from the Ruby Falls and along
the way there are many oddities and wonders
to marvel at. Ruby Falls is located in
Chattanooga and is one of the great things
to do when in the area.

good way to experience the beauty in Chattanooga
and the surrounding area is from the back
of a horse. You can experience a piece
of history by riding the 12 miles of equestrian
trails at nearby Chickamauga and Chattanooga
National Military Park in Georgia. Take
in the spectacular views from the mountain
tops at Crockford-Pigeon Mountain Wildlife
Management in Lafayette, Georgia, where
there are 100 miles of multi-use trails
and a primitive camping area, and at the
Cohutta Wilderness area, which is part
of the Chattahoochee National Forest where
there are established horse trails and
primitive camping. |
